10/21: Alice Sweet Alice

10/21: Tonight I was wanting a slasher in my life, so I was digging around and found Alice Sweet Alice, wherein the killer is a 12 year old girl (or so it seems). This movie is also the first appearance of one Brook Shields, so, ya know, there's that.

Alice Sweet Alice has it's moments (the little girl is genuinely creepy and does some screwed up stuff), but ultimately by the end that's what it is: a few freaky moments. The kills are pretty brutal and cool (and damn surprising for being such an early movie) but again: not enough to hold up the movie. It's also doesn't quite stand the test of time and certainly comes off dated.

Some good kills and creepy at times but it's just not enough to sustain a dated early slasher. 

Damn, that mask screws with me though.
